So I've only been knitting for about five months now, and I still am learning about what the gauge part of knitting means. At the moment, I've learned that it is really super important for things that require more precise measurements (such as a hoodie which I am in the process of doing).
Current project: Hoodie
I'm knitting a hoodie for my husband (he's been requesting one since January). I'm using a pattern from Knitting Pure and Simple, with One Pound Caron 100% Acrylic yarn and Knit Picks Interchangeable Needle set (which continues to be amazing!). Why am I including this update in the topic of gauges? Because I think I made his hoodie a tad too big. See, I was so worried about making the hoodie too small but too lazy to attach swatch out the yarn to check for tension that I decided to use measurements for the largest size that the pattern allows. Result: I don't know yet, but I'm getting worried. Con: it's too late to start over (ok not really but I don't want to haha). Pro: my husband doesn't care about it being too big, he says he can use it to snuggle up in during the cold winter.
I'm about to hit the half way mark in completing this hoodie. I have to finish the body, then work on the two sleeves, and the hoodie itself. What buttons should I buy for this?
